The Seagers' Holiday in Botswana 2014.

Eighteen days touring in the sun and sand!

Around Kasane and the Victoria Falls

We were pretty tired when we got to Kasane, quite some time after dark so we took the next morning very easy and cleared out the cars and generally had a bit of retail therapy. That afternoon we took a boat trip along the river Chobe which lies between Botswana and Namibia. This is normally a very interesting trip with large numbers of animals and birds on view. You also get to see the sunset over the Chobe river, which is a great site. The trip is very relaxing as well.

The next day we were driven to Victoria Falls, in neighbouring Zimbabwe. The falls were, as usual, spectacular but the town was packed with police and army. There was a big african Heads of State meeting in town so the security was a bit heavy, to put it mildly. We got wet at the falls as the wind was blowing the spray aver the rainforest.

On the third morning we signed up for an early morning game drive along the river and into the Chobe Game Reserve. I didn't take many photos and missed getting one of the leopard and the Sable Antelope which I spotted in the distance.
